BRISTOL, England — A ghostly glass figure has been seen on the streets of Bristol this week, taking up residence on pavements across the city in an effort to raise awareness of homelessness in the area.
The fragile sculpture, a collaboration between artist Luke Jerram and Bristol homeless charity 1625 Independent People, appeared briefly on Park Street, Bristol Bridge and in Stokes Croft. Both hope it will have made people think about the issue as Christmas approaches.
“For every person you see sleeping on the streets, there are many others sleeping in hostels, squats and other forms of unsatisfactory and insecure accommodation," Jerram said in a statement to Mashable. Read more...
